Vasectomy Update; There's a great clinic that does them in the morning and has an opening THIS month

Hey babe,

I've updated the spreadsheet and standardized my reseach onto one page with the top clinics I've found to work with (at the link below):

It's strange. Now that a weight of parental and financial concerns has lifted, my heart has really been feeling into the joy of this posibility.  Being a dad has been the most gratifying thing I've ever done, and losing connection with my kids has been among the most painful. While not making any assumption, the thought of doing it with you (a partner I feel so much love and comfort and familiarity with) in a way that is more relaxed and enjoyable gets me excited. I know waiting for me has been really hard and perhaps too much to overcome, but doing so seems on par with me wanting another child, and since that has happened, it seems anything is possible!

I pray you will forgive me for taking so long to come around. I realize I've moved to a new place in life and can fully feel my desire to create a family with you. Until now, I haven't felt the freedom to really embrace creating a new family, as much as I have considered it on many occassions.  Now I can. I want to be able to come home to you (and our family) for the rest of my life. You know how I am.  I can be turged, slow to decide, but when I finally do set out to do something, I can be very focused and marshal all my resources to make it happen. I am bringing that kind of energy to getting pregnant with you because I really want that for both of us. I did not repay my loan from Brad and Norah, so I have a lot of money on hand (over $50,000) that we can use for all the appointments and proceedures.  Obviously, we want to save as much as we can for our house (and a trip to Laos!), but if we need all of it to get you pregnant, I feel ok about that. I'll do whatever I can to help make up for lost time!

Vasectomy Reversal Research.

The First Tab has info on 4 providers.  The number one indicator for success is hiring the best surgeon you can who focuses almost exclusively on reversals. I've collected info on four providers, and honed down to the top two... which are the most expensive, of course! :-)  But they also have really great results!  I've scheduled pre-op consults with both, but my fave is the Dads Again clinic in Tucson (https://www.dadsagain.com/vasectomy-reversal/our-high-success-rate/) because all they do is vasectomy reversals -- nearly every day for decades. Dr. Marks has been doing them for over 25 years. He only does one per day, and he does them in the morning!  I could even get in THIS MONTH if we jump on it (but we'd have to let them know right away).  Otherwise, they are scheduling for July and August.  I'm glad we didn't just go with the local doctor.  Having now put so much research into finding the best doctor, we have a much higher chance of a successful reversal and pregnancy.

The Second Tab is more focused on IVR, in case we couldn't get pregnant naturally. It has mostly cost-related info and clinic leads because my main focus has been on getting pregnant naturally since I didn't like the research I was finding on epigenetic impacts on IRV (even though it has gotten better over the years).  I think the thing to do is to go talk with one of the Doctors at a clinic. The doctor that was recommended is Paula Amotto - http://www.ohsu.edu/providers/paula-amato/42A6A8A8BA74496A98855052CA32BFAD at OHSU. She's been doing the most research on embrios and genetics, but I'll call again to inquire if she knows specifically about epigentics. If so, then we could make an appointment with her, just so we have as much info about IVF as a backup.  The other IVF clinic in town that looked promising is the Northwest Fertility Center which has been working since 1986, and I think it makes sense to call them too to see if they have any docs familiar with epigenics.

We should talk soon to see where you are at considering the opportunity to do the proceedure this month, otherwise that option won't be available and the soonest we could do it would be early August.

I love you,

jas
